The Catalan Grand Prix Sprint delivered high drama as Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Ducati) crashed out of the lead at Turn 10 while more than a second clear, handing victory to older brother Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo). Fabio Quartararo (Monster Yamaha) came home second, with Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46 Ducati) completing the podium.
Explosive Start
Alex Marquez launched perfectly off the line, while Quartararo, Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta (KTM) went three-wide into Turn 1. Quartararo muscled his way into P2 to chase Alex, sparking a thrilling scrap with Marc and Acosta in the opening laps.
Marc dived past at Turn 10 but was repassed immediately, and even lost out to Acosta. Yet with a slipstream down the main straight, the #93 hit back to reclaim track position, as the leading group began to settle.
Alex Pulls Away… Until Disaster Strikes
By mid-distance, Alex looked in control, stretching the gap to 1.3s with four laps to go. But at the tricky Turn 10, disaster struck — the front folded and down he went, his near-certain victory gone in an instant.
That left Marc clear in front, and he duly managed the gap over Quartararo to the flag, securing his 14th Sprint win of the season in dramatic fashion.

Acosta narrowly held off Bastianini and Binder in a photo finish, the trio split by just 0.075s. Zarco led the Honda contingent in seventh, Marini took eighth, while rookie Ogura bagged his first MotoGP point in ninth.
